The Solar Shield contrast-enhancing filters are available in five different tints: gray, yellow, amber, orange, and a new plum option. Offered in three frame sizes - Small, Medium (Oval), and Large - the dark grey sunglasses for low vision cater to a range of preferences. The small frame is perfect for patients who prefer a snug fit or do not wear glasses, while the medium and large options are ideal for those wearing standard eyewear.
The large frames, which replace the Aviator style, are designed to fit over prescription frames without exceeding the dimensions of 6" wide by 2" high (153mm x 49mm). Featuring a dark gray polarized lens, these sunglasses do not compromise on color accuracy and are particularly well-suited for outdoor environments as the polarization effectively eliminates reflective glare. Additionally, they provide essential sun protection by blocking 100% of UVA/UVB rays and 100% of visible light up to 400nm.
