Eschenbach and Dioptics Medical Products have partnered to offer low-vision practitioners a line of contrast-enhancing filters designed specifically for the low-vision patient. Solar Shield®filters are available in five lens tints: gray, yellow, amber, orange, and plum (new!). These total protection filters are available to the consumer exclusively through eyecare and rehab professionals.

SolarShield^® contrast-enhancing filters are available in three frame sizes: small, Medium (Oval), and large. The small frame will fit patients with more minor or non-existent eyewear, while the medium and large sizes comfortably fit over a patient's standard eyewear.

Large frames [replacing Aviator] fit over Rx frames not exceeding 6"w x 2"h, or 153mm x 49mm. The plum polarized lens provides accurate color representation and is ideal for outdoor use, as the polarization eliminates reflective glare. It blocks 100% UVA/UVB and 100% visible light up to 400nm.
