4x power magnifying LED handheld magnifiers are one of the simplest available for reading. Rest above the page to set magnifier at an ideal focal distance. The Optelec PowerMag+ Bright White LED Magnifier is fitted with a bright white LED, providing consistent high-contrast lighting and a wide field of view. Made with high-quality German optics by Schweizer, the aspheric lightweight magnifying lens is scratch-resistant and provides an accurate, sharply defined image. PowerMag+ magnifiers have been engineered to produce low energy consumption and long-lasting battery life. The user-friendly battery compartment was designed with an easy-slide ergonomic switch and attached cover that cannot be lost, which is great for those with limited dexterity.
Handheld magnifiers are convenient for short-term tasks such as “spot” or single-word reading. They are small, lightweight and portable, but require good coordination to maintain the focal distance, and may not be a good option when both hands are needed.
